I started Insight Photography in 1992 because of the joy I am able to inspire by creating and capturing great moments, great looks for people to share with their friends & family.

I also shoot on location and especially love being a fly on the wall at events and catching the action for people's future fun memories. Clients really get a kick out of seeing their photographs and I make everyone look good!

I'm a KC native who moved to New Jersey and Iowa as a teenager, then returned to Kansas for college. I've had a very diverse and interesting life, which helps me see things from nearly every perspective. I stayed in Lawrence after graduating from KU in 1987 with a sense that I wanted to set deep roots in this place with so many fascinating people.

I have been married to my sweetie Jeff Saunders for almost 18 years and we have two teenage sons. Both play football, so there will soon be lots of game highlight pictures posted in the Community category.
